The Sonora Pass Wagon Train Group is again having our annual Fundraiser Dinner and Wagon Train drive from the Mother Lode Ranch to Jamestown. This year we have added a Camp Out on Oct 16 & 17 and a Dance with the Fundraiser Dinner on Oct 17.
The Historical Sonora Pass Wagon Train Group is a 501-C-3 Non Profit Corporation. Every year besides the 10 day trip over Sonora Pass we have a fund raiser dinner and a one day trip with wagons and out riders from The Mother Lode Ranch to Jamestown Heritage Days.
This year Jamestown has again asked us to bring our wagons to Jamestown Heritage Days on Oct 18, 2009. Last year we had about 10 wagons and a bunch of out riders.
The camp out and drive will be on and around the Mother Lode Ranch on Friday Oct 16 and Saturday Oct 17. Saturday night we have a big steak Dinner and Dance planned. On Sunday Oct 18 we will shuttle our rigs to Jamestown then return to the ranch and drive our wagons to Jamestown. That is 11 miles on paved back roads. Black Oak Casino will provide a shuttle service with their bus. We will depart from Jamestown to home or back to ranch at any time after 3:00 PM.
You may participate in any part or all of the activities. The CHP may limit the length of our wagon train and the number of wagons that we take to Jamestown. The camp area has water and porta-potties. You need to bring camp gear, hay, portable pens or tie lines, water hose and bring your own drinks.
Enclosed are reservation forms that must be returned by October 10, 2009 for our Special Event Permit.
